The website
This site is a catalogue of gemstones, jewellery, and lapidary work. Some pieces can be reserved online. Listing a piece does not by itself create a sale. Prices, where shown, are in pounds sterling (GBP) and may change until you start checkout. Pieces stay available until they are reserved or sold, or until we confirm otherwise.
Descriptions and photographs are prepared with care. Natural gemstones vary; colour on your screen will not match the piece in daylight. We encourage a studio viewing before you decide.
Pay to reserve
Where a listed GBP price is shown and the piece is available, Pay to reserve is a card payment — not an enquiry. Card details are entered on Stripe’s page. We do not store card numbers. The amount charged is the listed price from our records, in GBP.
The piece is held for a short time while you complete checkout. It is only marked sold after Stripe confirms the payment. Opening a thank-you page without a confirmed payment does not complete the sale.
Shipping/delivery arrangements will be confirmed separately. Collection from the Birmingham studio is available. Insured postage is quoted after payment so the route matches the piece.
If you need to change a reservation after payment, contact the studio. Your statutory rights under UK law are not affected.
Enquiries and WhatsApp
Sending an enquiry form, email, or WhatsApp message is a request for information — not a reserved order and not a contract. We will reply with availability, next steps, or a request for more detail. Work, recuts, and finished jewellery are agreed separately, usually in writing or in person.
Studio visits
Visits are by appointment at the Birmingham studio. Requesting a time through the site does not confirm the booking until we say so. Please tell us if you need to change or cancel.
Your use of the site
Do not misuse the forms, attempt to access the admin area without permission, or copy our photographs, text, or listings for another commercial site. You may link to our public pages. Content on this site is for Kaneel Lapidary & Gems; it is not a mirror of any other jeweller or lapidary.
Liability
The site is provided as a useful guide. We take care with it, but we cannot promise it is always complete, current, or free of interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that UK law does not allow us to limit, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
